Massage Therapy Maysville KY

massage

Massage therapy in Maysville is the most requested modality for unwinding from a stressful day. It improves circulation without increased heart strain and stretches the ligaments and tendons, keeping them resilient. It is often recommended as part of a regular program for stress management.

Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular Therapy use techniques that affect the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. These modalities use firm pressure to treat “trigger points” or specific areas of neural activity to break cycles of spasm and pain associated with sports injuries or repetitive use of specific muscle groups.

Prenatal Massage focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of the childbirth experience. It is usually begun during the second and/or third trimesters of a healthy pregnancy.

Sports Massage is typically performed before, during, or after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to reduce tension in the muscle groups affected by the event, promote flexibility and enhance the athlete’s performance. It also lessens the chance of injury and reduces muscle recovery time.
